About Me

I was born in Kentucky and spent parts of my life in Nashville and Florida, but the Rogue Valley is where my roots truly are. I’ve called this place home for most of my life, and my husband and I love raising our family here.

I'm a mom to two amazing, fierce little ones, Paige and Andrew, who are growing up way too fast. As a family, we love to be outdoors, whether we're skiing down the slopes, camping under the stars, or playing all the sports.

When we're not outside, you can find us cheering on our favorite teams. We're huge baseball fans and will always be loyal to our New York Yankees! And when it comes to football, I’ll be rooting for my beloved Detroit Lions every single Sunday!

My Story

My passion for teaching is something that started long before I ever stepped into a classroom. When I was just seven years old, my favorite game was "school," and my poor younger brother was my dedicated student. He had to sit "crisscross applesauce" and listen carefully, or I'd threaten to send him to the principal's office!

I suppose my love for education is in my blood. I grew up in a family of educators, with a legacy that dates all the way back to one-room schoolhouses in the 1900's. With a family history like that, it's no surprise that I pursued my own path in education, earning a Master's Degree in Teaching with a minor in Early Childhood Development.

Since 2017, I've had the privilege of teaching here in the Rogue Valley. My years in the classroom have taught me that the key to great learning isn't just about curriculum, it's about making a genuine connection. I love to use humor and personal interests to inspire and motivate my students. Whether it's connecting a history lesson to a student's favorite video game, or telling a funny story about my own life to help them understand a tough concept, I believe learning should be engaging and fun.

My mission is to do more than just teach lessons; it's to build strong, lasting relationships with each child. By creating a trusting and supportive environment, I've seen firsthand how a child’s love for learning can truly ignite. My goal is to ensure that you, as a family, feel empowered and involved in your child's educational journey, giving them the confidence and skills they need to thrive.
